Best for
- Translating full-length books into another language with Claude Code or Codex

- Long translation jobs that need resumable runs and consistent terminology via a glossary

Our take
Splits books into ~6000-character chunks, translates each in a fresh-context subagent (8 concurrent by default), and validates outputs against a SHA-256 manifest before merging. Requires Calibre, Pandoc, and Python 3 with pypandoc; DOCX output cannot typeset formulas. The maintainer prefers issues over pull requests, and the project is an independent rework inspired by claude_translater.
