Best for
- Researchers using coding agents for bioinformatics, cheminformatics, or drug discovery workflows
- Querying scientific databases like PubChem, ChEMBL, UniProt, and ClinicalTrials.gov from an agent
- Getting version-aware guidance for packages such as RDKit, Scanpy, pymatgen, and Qiskit
- Scientific writing, literature review, and publication-quality figures
Our take
Formerly Claude Scientific Skills, now packaged to the open Agent Skills standard and as an Agent Plugins package. Actively maintained (version 2.72.0) with CI security scans and skill tests, and described in an arXiv paper. Several clinical and regulatory skills are explicitly scoped as research or draft aids rather than decision tools; the README also promotes the vendor's separate K-Dense BYOK desktop app.
